Allarity Medical Laboratory offers cancer tissue sample analysis using Allarity’s unique DRP® software algorithm.
This algorithm combines the expression of messenger RNA (mRNA) relevant to the in vitro action of various cancer drugs. The gene expression profile (GEP) is converted into a single number, the DRP score. This score reflects the difference between the mean expression of positively correlated genes and the mean expression of negatively correlated genes, compared to a reference population. The DRP® score, ranging from zero to 100, correlates with predicted drug response: a low score indicates a low likelihood of response, while a high score indicates a high likelihood. A fixed cut-off score can differentiate potential responders from non-responders.
